Venice in Watercolour ✨🎨

Dive deeper into the world of watercolour and discover how to capture the rich colours, luminous light, and timeless atmosphere of Venice. In this 5-hour masterclass, we’ll explore how to create a painting that feels colourful and vibrant without becoming overwhelming - rich with paint, beautiful contrasts, and full of Venetian character.

This masterclass is designed for artists with previous watercolour experience who want to push their skills further, experiment more confidently with colour, and create a painting with greater depth and richness.

Workshop Highlights:

🎨 Rich & Refined Colour: Learn how to work with bold, beautiful colours while keeping your palette harmonious, sophisticated, and never tacky.

🖌️ Paint with Confidence: Explore a more expressive approach to watercolour, using generous layers of paint while maintaining the luminosity that makes the medium special.

Capture the Venetian Light: Discover how to use warm and cool tones, contrast, and glowing washes to recreate the unique light and atmosphere of Venice.

🏛️ Create Depth & Architecture: Learn how to suggest Venetian buildings, windows, canals, and architectural details without getting lost in every tiny detail.

🎨 Push Your Watercolour Skills Further: Experiment with layering, colour mixing, expressive brushwork, and richer paint application to take your paintings to the next level.

Create Your Own Vibrant Venice: Leave the masterclass with a rich, colourful Venice painting - and new techniques, confidence, and inspiration to carry into your future watercolour work.

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.
