Fixing Mistakes in Watercolour 🎨✨

Ever had that moment when your watercolour suddenly takes a wrong turn? Don’t worry - most paintings can be rescued! 🙂 In this practical and playful workshop, we’ll slow down and explore how to turn common watercolour disasters into something you’re happy to keep.

Instead of starting over, you’ll learn how to look at your painting with fresh eyes, find solutions, and confidently make corrections without losing the beauty and freshness of the original.

Workshop Highlights:

🤍 Get Your Whites Back: Learn different ways to recover lost highlights and bring light back into areas that have become too dark.

🖌️ Fix Wobbly Lines: Discover simple techniques for correcting shaky or awkward lines and making shapes feel more intentional.

🎨 Rescue Muddy Colours: Learn how to bring life and luminosity back to a painting when the colours have become dull or muddy.

Redefine Your Focal Point: Explore how to strengthen or move the main focus of your painting when it has become lost or unclear.

🌿 Add, Remove & Adjust: Practice making corrections with washes, lifting, glazing, and strategic additions - without overworking the whole painting.

💡 Learn to See Solutions: Develop the confidence to pause, assess what went wrong, and decide what your painting needs next instead of giving up.

🎨 Turn a Disaster Into a Painting: Most importantly, you’ll learn that mistakes don’t have to mean the end of a painting. Sometimes they’re simply an invitation to find a new direction - and you’ll leave with practical rescue techniques you can use again and again.

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.
