Oslo Just Before Christmas ✨🏙️🎄

Step into the magical atmosphere of Oslo just before Christmas and discover how to capture that special feeling of winter light in watercolour. This is one of my most requested artworks, and in this masterclass, I’ll take you through my process of painting this beautiful and atmospheric Oslo view.

Together, we’ll explore how to work with light and shadows, create depth and atmosphere, and bring the quiet magic of Oslo in the weeks before Christmas to life on paper.

This is a masterclass designed for those with previous experience in watercolour.
Come ready to explore, experiment, and take your watercolour skills further!

Masterclass Highlights:

🏙️ Paint a Typical Oslo View: Learn how to capture the character and charm of Oslo in a beautiful winter scene.

Create Beautiful Atmosphere: Explore how to use colour, contrast, and soft transitions to create that magical feeling of Oslo just before Christmas.

💡 Work with Light & Shadows: Discover how to place and balance light and shadow to make your painting feel luminous, atmospheric, and alive.

🎨 Build Depth & Dimension: Learn how to simplify architectural details while still creating a convincing sense of depth and space.

🖌️ My Painting Process: Follow along as I share my approach to this highly requested artwork, from the first washes to the final details.

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.
