Bring Prague to Life!
Step into the charm of Prague and learn how to capture its timeless street views in a fresh, expressive watercolour style. In this workshop, we’ll focus on painting architectural city scenes with clarity, atmosphere, and just the right amount of detail—keeping everything light, balanced, and full of life.
This session is dedicated entirely to painting. You can bring the perspective drawing you created during the Perspective Masterclass course, or prepare your own sketch in advance at home or during our Thursday Paint & Sip session using the provided reference. This session is for everyone, you don't need to join the Perspective Drawing course before to join this workshop.
We’ll explore how to translate complex beige and grey cityscapes into harmonious, luminous paintings, while maintaining depth, structure, and a sense of place.
Workshop Highlights:
🏙 Painting the Street View: Learn how to compose and paint a Prague street scene with strong perspective and visual flow.
🎨 Achieving Depth with Watercolour: Build atmospheric layers to create distance, light, and believable space without overworking the surface.
🌫 Working with Beige & Grey Subjects: Discover how to mix nuanced, lively neutrals so stone façades and muted city tones feel rich rather than flat.
👥 Painting People in the Scene: Learn simple, expressive techniques to suggest figures that bring scale, movement, and life to the street.
🏛 Architectural Detail with Balance: Focus on key architectural elements while knowing what to simplify, so the painting stays fresh and not overworked.
🖌 Light, Fresh & Expressive Approach: Combine observation and intuition to capture the essence of Prague without losing spontaneity.
**Please bring a completed line drawing from the Perspective Drawing course, or prepare one beforehand using the provided reference.

What's the agenda?
During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.
