Splash & Flow: Painting an Italian City in Watercolour

Join us for a vibrant and expressive watercolour workshop, where we’ll capture the charm of an Italian city in a loose, splashy style. We will use both pen and watercolour. First pen - to add lines and sketch the view, and then watercolour splashes to add vibrant energy and colours. Forget about rigid details—this session is all about movement, bold brushstrokes, and letting watercolour flow freely. We’ll paint orange roofs and historic buildings with splashing energy! :)

Workshop Highlights:

🎨 Expressive & Splashy Painting: Learn how to use loose brushstrokes, splashes, and drips to bring energy to your scene.
🏛 Iconic Italian Views: Capture the warmth and character of an Italian city from above.
🌞 Light & Atmosphere: Use vibrant colours and bold contrasts to create a sunlit, lively feel.
🖌 Line & Wash Approach: Combine playful ink sketches with flowing watercolour to balance structure and spontaneity.
🖼 Create a Unique Masterpiece: Finish with a beautiful, expressive painting full of movement and life.

Let go of perfection and enjoy the freedom of splashy watercolour painting. Join us for a fun, creative day in Italy—on paper!

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.

I'm a complete beginner - can I still join?

Absolutely. All my classes are suitable for artists of all levels. I work with everyone individually, providing personalised feedback to help you with any challenges you may be facing. If you're feeling stressed about joining the class, please let me know. Occasionally, I hold a 'complete beginner' class that may not be published yet. We can also arrange a free 30-minute introductory session or organise a private lesson.

In what language is the workshop?

The workshops are held mainly in English, but I also speak Norwegian at a B1 level and native Polish, so we can communicate in either of those languages.

All our courses are designed for anyone aged 16 and up, unless it's mentioned otherwise in the description.

Who's the teacher?
