Bloom in Watercolour: Floral Painting Workshop

As Spring is already here, I invite you to join us for a joyful and creative watercolour workshop, where we’ll explore the beauty of flowers with expressive brushstrokes and delicate colour blends. Whether you want to create a full painting or design beautiful cards for someone special, this workshop will help you bring flowers to life on paper.

Two Days, Two Techniques – Join One or Both!

🌹 Day 1: Painting Roses – Learn to paint soft, flowing petals using confident 'airplane' brushstrokes. We’ll practise how to control water and colour to create depth and making your roses look fresh and full of life.

💙 Day 2: Painting Blue Daisies (Felicia Amoena) – These charming blue flowers will help us explore negative space painting—a wonderful technique for creating delicate, airy compositions. This skill is useful for all kinds of painting!

Workshop Highlights:

🎨 Master Essential Watercolour Skills – Brush control on Day 1, negative space painting on Day 2.
🌿 Create Lively Floral Compositions – Use colour, light, and layering to make your flowers glow.
💌 Paint for Yourself or Someone Special – Turn your artwork into beautiful gifts or cards.
🖌 Choose Your Experience – Join for just one day or both to build your skills!

Come and enjoy the beauty of watercolour flowers in a fun, relaxed setting. Let’s paint, splash, and create together!

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.

FAQ

What if I can't join the workshop that I bought a ticket for?

If you can't join, please let me know as soon as possible. There may be a waiting list, and others need time to be informed and prepare. Additionally, the studio relies on making rent to continue operating.

- 10 days before the event: The ticket can be refunded or transferred to another event.
- 24 hours before the event: The ticket can be transferred to another event.
- Less than 24 hours before the event: The ticket can't be refunded or transferred anymore.

I'm a complete beginner - can I still join?

Absolutely. All my classes are suitable for artists of all levels. I work with everyone individually, providing personalised feedback to help you with any challenges you may be facing. If you're feeling stressed about joining the class, please let me know. Occasionally, I hold a 'complete beginner' class that may not be published yet. We can also arrange a free 30-minute introductory session or organise a private lesson.

In what language is the workshop?

The workshops are held mainly in English, but I also speak Norwegian at a B1 level and native Polish, so we can communicate in either of those languages.

Are the workshops for adults or children?

All our courses are designed for anyone aged 16 and up, unless it's mentioned otherwise in the description.

Who's the teacher?

During the workshops you will be guided by Kasia Wiercinska - experienced tutor professionally trained in watercolour art. You can read more about her background on the About page or check her portfolio at www.KasiaWiercinska.com

Do I need to bring materials?

All professional quality materials are included in price, unless it says differently in the description. If you need materials to paint at home, or you want to find out what's recommended, you can check my Watercolour Starter Kit with all materials needed to start with watercolour: Starter Kit
