Paint the Golden Hour: Watercolour Workshop

Join us for an inspiring watercolour workshop focused on capturing architecture bathed in golden hour light. In this session, we’ll take a very different approach to painting buildings — constructing forms with light and shadow rather than walls and lines. You’ll learn how warm light shapes architecture, softens edges, and creates atmosphere, helping your paintings feel luminous and alive. This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to loosen their style and see buildings in a new way.

Workshop Highlights:

🏛 Build Architecture with Light: Paint buildings using light and shadow instead of hard outlines or rigid detail.
🎨 Loosen Your Approach: Explore expressive and more abstract architectural style.
🖌 Suggest, Don’t Describe: Learn when to let details fade and how to imply structure with minimal marks.
Create Atmosphere & Glow: Balance warmth and contrast to give your scene depth and radiance.
🖼 Take Home Your Artwork: Finish with a glowing architectural scene filled with golden light.

Whether you're a beginner or have experience with watercolours, this workshop will inspire and guide you.

What's the agenda?

During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.

- 24 hours before the event: The ticket can be transferred to another event.
- Less than 24 hours before the event: The ticket can't be refunded or transferred anymore.

I'm a complete beginner - can I still join?

Absolutely. All my classes are suitable for artists of all levels. I work with everyone individually, providing personalised feedback to help you with any challenges you may be facing. If you're feeling stressed about joining the class, please let me know. Occasionally, I hold a 'complete beginner' class that may not be published yet. We can also arrange a free 30-minute introductory session or organise a private lesson.

In what language is the workshop?

The workshops are held mainly in English, but I also speak Norwegian at a B1 level and native Polish, so we can communicate in either of those languages.

All our courses are designed for anyone aged 16 and up, unless it's mentioned otherwise in the description.

Who's the teacher?

During the workshops you will be guided by Kasia Wiercinska - experienced tutor professionally trained in watercolour art. You can read more about her background on the About page or check her portfolio at www.KasiaWiercinska.com
