Perspective Sketching Workshop: See It, Draw It, Fix It
Join this practical and engaging session focused entirely on understanding perspective—so those confusing lines finally start to make sense. Hosted by Kasia, a former architect and now watercolour painter and tutor, this workshop is designed to help you recognise what’s going wrong in your drawings—and how to fix it with confidence.
We’ll explore the key principles of perspective, including three types of linear perspective as well as aerial perspective, breaking them down into clear, easy-to-follow concepts. Working with pencil only, you’ll sketch a variety of urban scenes, learning how to start a drawing, structure your composition, and capture depth accurately.
We’ll also practise drawing people within cityscapes, understanding how figures sit naturally in perspective and relate to their surroundings.
This is a hands-on, no-pressure session focused on building real understanding through sketching.
Workshop Highlights:
✏️ Master Perspective Basics: Learn four types of linear perspective and aerial perspective in a clear, practical way.
🏙 Urban Sketching Focus: Draw buildings, streets, and city scenes with correct depth and structure.
👥 Figures in Space: Practise sketching people in perspective within urban environments.
🧭 Learn How to Start: Understand how to approach a scene and what to look for before putting pencil to paper.
🛠 Fix What Feels “Off”: Gain the tools to recognise and correct perspective mistakes.

What's the agenda?
During the workshops, I share the most important techniques that we need to focus on the subject. I make a demonstration of the painting process in a few steps (typically 2-3). During this demonstration, you are welcome to ask questions, and I will explain the key details. After each step, you will have time to work on your own piece. I will circulate among the group, providing individual assistance and answering any questions.
